Synapse Link software automates the exchange of data between Creo
print production systems and management information systems (MIS).
Using the open JDF standard, Synapse Link allows printers to maintain
accurate records and communicate information about prepress
functions including material usage, job status, and machine utilization.
With the production information reported by Synapse Link, printers can
make better informed business decisions, be more responsive to
customer demands, and become more profitable. Synapse Link can
further streamline the print process by automating job creation
(archiving, deleting, importing, exporting) in business or production
systems, where the capability is available. Synapse Link software

Synapse® UpFront®
Synapse UpFront is an intelligent job planning solution that can add a
percentage point to your bottom line by increasing your efficiency and
decreasing costly planning errors. It replaces the old method of
manually folding paper and drawing layouts to create a job plan, and
captures decades of planning experience in an easy to use, powerful
tool. Synapse UpFront is the fundamental component for unifying
workflows, from estimating to finishing. It imports JDF files from MIS
systems and exports job specifications to pre press and post press
finishing equipment (via JDF and CIP3 PPF) to aid in standardization of
the workflow. It provides savings throughout the print production
process and reduces throughput times. Synapse UpFront allows
planners to quickly plan jobs using information from a large library of
folding dummies that ship with the product, or from previously planned
jobs. It is the missing link in industry-wide efforts to automate printing
facilities from estimating through production and finishing.
