Screen’s new Internet portal that allows content creators to prepare and
deliver error-free, production-ready Certified PDF files from any
application. Easily tailored to a printer’s production workflow, Riteportal
simplifies the PDF creation, pre-flight, certification, encryption and
delivery of pre-defined PDF files into a simple ‘click-and-print’ process
from the desktop for both online and offline delivery. The system
eliminates the problems often associated with bad PDFs, such as
incorrect profile settings and missing fonts. Certified PDFs created by
customers are automatically uploaded to the print site’s Riteportal
server and placed into pre-determined hot folders or print queues. As a
result print jobs get on press with fewer delays and quality results are
guaranteed. Riteportal complies with JDF and PDF/X-1a open
standards to ensure flexibility and scalability and integrates easily with
Trueflow.

Vio Ad Delivery is a preflight and automated delivery solution based on
JDF technology and integrated with Markzware's FlightCheck Online. A
file is preflight checked on a clients desktop to current online published
specifications of the receiving publisher, hosted by Vio, once passed it
is automatically delivered to the publisher with the checked file, preflight
report and attached to a customisable JDF compliant Vio job ticket.
The joint solution is already successfully installed and in use by
publishers such as Reed Business Information (and J Jays its prepress
supplier and host for the service) to receive advertisements for all its
brand titles; the Periodical Publishers Association in the UK for the
pass4press industry standard ad preflighting and delivery service; and
Telegraph Group for receiving ads to its national newspaper titles such
as The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph.
