Preps®
Preps is a popular imposition tool for commercial and packaging
printers, with more than 23,500 installations around the world. Preps
offers the flexibility to build a workflow that suits the unique
requirements of each user by working with many popular solutions
including Prinergy and Prinergy Evo, Rampage, ApogeeX and
Harlequin RIPs or as a standalone imposition solution in PDF and
PostScript environments. Preps supports both Mac OS X and the latest
Windows operating systems, and is compatible with Adobe Acrobat 6
and QuarkXPress 6.5. Preps integrates seamlessly with Synapse
UpFront, the complete job production planning tool, and is available in
three versions: Pro, Plus and XL. Preps uses JDF to send imposition
data to other JDF-enabled prepress systems. Preps imports JDF files
from MIS using JDF stripping params, and exports JDF back to any MIS
that can process JDF files in a compatible manner. Preps Pro exports
CIP3 (PPF) to cutters at finishing.
