POWERLAYOUT and POWERSTEPPER are ArtPro's Step & Repeat
modules offering a variety of ways to create repetitions or to assemble
separations of one or different jobs for film or plate output. Industry
standard formats such as PostScript, EPS, DCS, native ArtPro data,
PDF, TIFF/IT and Scitex CT & LW files, can be repeated easily. A wide
range of stepping applications are supported: labels, cards, boxes, etc.
PowerLayout and PowerStepper users benefit from JDF to submit
impositions and step & repeats to JDF enabled pre-press workflow
systems, to generate ink key information for printing presses and cutting
information (CIP3) for guillotine cutters.

Imposition
Preps is a popular imposition tool for commercial and packaging
printers, with more than 23,500 installations around the world. Preps
offers the flexibility to build a workflow that suits the unique
requirements of each user by working with many popular solutions
including Prinergy and Prinergy Evo, Rampage, ApogeeX and
Harlequin RIPs or as a standalone imposition solution in PDF and
PostScript environments. Preps supports both Mac OS X and the latest
Windows operating systems, and is compatible with Adobe Acrobat 6
and QuarkXPress 6.5. Preps integrates seamlessly with Synapse
UpFront, the complete job production planning tool, and is available in
three versions: Pro, Plus and XL. Preps uses JDF to send imposition
data to other JDF-enabled prepress systems. Preps imports JDF files
from MIS using JDF stripping params, and exports JDF back to any MIS
that can process JDF files in a compatible manner. Preps Pro exports
CIP3 (PPF) to cutters at finishing.
