InkPRO
InkPRO is a software option for Brisque prepress workflow systems that
completely digitizes the ink-keying process on offset presses. It
supports CIP3/CIP4 data, and interfaces to any press that supports
CIP3 format and to presses with computerized controls. For presses
without computerized controls, an option allows outputting a hard copy
of the key settings for each ink tower.
During the prepress stage, the InkPRO application creates an ink
management file from the fully-imposed imaging data. This file enables
automatic ink key settings on the press, streamlining the press
makeready operation and minimizing potential areas of error.
Calculations are based on the first-generation digital file used for
imaging. Therefore, the application produces the most accurate
ink-management file possible for the highest quality results. It also
accurately forecasts ink consumption based on real job data, long
before the press run begins. These features assure print-predictability
and maximize productivity, while reducing paper and ink waste.
Accurate forecast of ink consumption eliminates guesswork in
consumable purchases, since InkPRO calculates ink consumption
based on real use. This enables you to order your consumables
accordingly, so that you always have sufficient ink reserves, without
over-spending. InkPRO as well creates CIP4-PPF data for popular
cutting machines.
