The JDF Marketplace is published quarterly by CIP4 Organization,
c/o VISCHER, Schützengasse 1, 8001 Zurich, Switzerland. This directory is
part of CIP4’s mission to encourage JDF based integration of all processes
streamlining the print production environment and heighten awareness of
currently available JDF-enabled products.

Dear JDF Marketplace Reader,
Since early 2001 over a hundred leading
providers of graphic arts systems, software, and
equipment have been developing the Job
Definition Format (JDF) specification and JDFenabled
products and services. It’s been a great
effort, not to mention huge investment of probably
no less than $500,000,000.
In early 2003 these products and services began hitting the market, but
nowhere near the flood of JDF-enabled products and services
we see today, with countless users strategizing, planning, or implementing
JDF-enabled workflows. But where do printers, prepress services,
publishers, and other users go to find JDF-enabled products and services?
Currently, the only industry directory with clearly identified JDF-enabled
products is CIP4’s “JDF Marketplace.”
“JDF Marketplace” is published quarterly by CIP4 Organization as a PDF
document optimized for screen and desktop printing. Each quarter the latest
edition of the JDF Marketplace is posted to www.cip4.org, filling a critical
gap in product information that is needed. The CIP4 Organization intends
to publish “JDF Marketplace” only until commercial references provide
sufficient information about JDF-enabled products and services or until the
question becomes not what is JDF-enabled, but rather what is not JDFenabled!
That day may be rapidly approaching, but until then, and on
behalf of the CIP4 Organization, we hope that you find this edition to be a
helpful and informative resource.
