Description:
The Prinect Prepress Manager is a highly automated JDF / PDF-based
prepress workflow which ensures that all production processes in
Prepress, are carried out based on the same set of job and master data. It
enables to speed up and control all prepress production steps - from data
input via PDF preflight with correction to impositioning, proofing,
approval cycles, and plate imaging. It has a modular design meaning that
a fully JDF based workflow exactly matching production requirements
can gradually be built up.
The Prinect Cockpit controls the prepress production and is used to work
on jobs interactively. It can seamlessly work together with the Prinect
Signa Station offering a unique set of features for impositioning. The
Engine Modules in Prinect Prepress Manager automate the prepress
production while enhancing performance and output quality at the same
time.
The Prinect Prepress Manager supports the connectivity to MIS, digital
printing and conventional printing via Prinect Integration Manager,
Prinect Digital Print Manager and Prinect Pressroom Manager.

Workflow
Entirely based on JDF, Prinect Pressroom Manager controls and
administers all job data needed for print production. Presses are supplied
with print jobs and communicate directly with the Pressroom Manager via
online connection. In this way, production processes can be automated
and improved in the critical places. Open standard interfaces to the
management information system and the prepress department permit an
integration into different workflow environments specific to the print
shop. Jobs are edited and displayed via PC clients - the Prinect Cockpits
that allow users to actively intervene in the production.
