Independence
In conducting our audit, we have complied with the independence requirements of the
Corporations Act 2001.
Auditor’s Opinion
In our opinion:
a. the fi nancial report of Surf Life Saving Australia Limited is in accordance with the
Corporations Act 2001, including:
(i) giving a true and fair view of the entity’s and consolidated entity’s fi nancial position as at 30 June 2008
and of its performance for the year ended on that date; and
(ii) complying with Australian Accounting Standards (including the Australian Accounting Interpretations)
and the Corporations Regulations 2001.
b. the fi nancial report also complies with International Financial Reporting Standards as disclosed in Note 1.
Report on Other Legal and Regulatory Requirements
In our opinion, the requirements of the Charitable Fundraising Act 1991 and the regulations regarding proper
keeping of accounts and associated records and the application of money received as a result of fundraising
appears conducted during the year, have been complied with.
