questioning can thrive.<br />

Focus heavily on pr<strong>of</strong>essional development<br />

opportunities <strong>for</strong> teachers that energize<br />

their pedagogical practice and inspire them<br />

to foster innovation with students.<br />

Seek to align with business and community<br />

partners who can philosophically and<br />

financially support ambitious learning<br />

initiatives as well as innovation frameworks<br />

and objectives.<br />

Identify ways in which the institution itself<br />

can lead change and actively participate in<br />

research and development towards better<br />

ways <strong>of</strong> doing things.<br />

Integrate the innovation and education<br />

agenda across staff teams rather than<br />

departmentalizing it, developing a staffwide<br />

responsibility and agenda that<br />

encourages continuous and collective<br />

innovation.<br />

Utilize the institution’s own resources<br />

and knowledge <strong>of</strong> innovation to meet and<br />

grow the ideas and interests <strong>of</strong> school<br />

constituents.
