25 Initial Startup Next steps Place front on the device. Setting the Leak Sensor The leak sensor is preset to medium. The sensitivity can be adjusted in 3 steps: low, medium, high. Prerequisite Device is controlled with Control Unit or chromatography software. Note With decreasing polarity of the eluent, the sensitivity of the leak sensor must increase. Non-polar eluents: Setting high for e. g. hexane, heptane Polar eluents: Setting low for e. g. water When should you deactivate the leak sensor? Process Figure 3.
