3. Hacia la síntesis de fullerenos. Síntesis
de truxenos funcionalizados como posibles
nuevos materiales moleculares
cuyas propiedades (electroquímicas, ópticas no lineales…)
y potenciales aplicaciones como receptores artificiales,
etc., están siendo estudiadas en la actualidad.
3. Toward the synthesis of fullerenes.
Synthesis of functionalized truxenes as
possible new molecular materials
Keywords: fullerenes, computations, truxene
Earlier, an unimolecular precursor of C 60
fullerene
(C 60
H 30
) could be synthesized, so as a soluble tributylated
derivative of it, which has us make enable to characterize
this type of molecules by spectroscopic techniques.
The cyclodehydrogenation process of C 60
H 30
,
experimentally performed by MALDI MS, has been theoretically
studied by semiempirical and ab initio calculations,
to determine the possibility of transforming
this molecule into C 60 . The synthetic methodology developed
has been extended to the synthesis of a precursor
(C 57 H 27 N 3 ) of the triazafullerene C 57 N 3 , molecules
hitherto inaccessible by the synthetic methods actually
available. Starting of truxene, heptacyclic hydrocarbon
and planar fragment of [60]fullerene, used previously
for the synthesis of C 60
precursors, an extensive variety
of derivatives has been obtained, the properties of
which (electrochemistry, NLO, etc.) and potential applications
as artificial receptors and other, are being studied
at present.
4. Heterogenized catalysts, chiralization
of mesoporous solids and preparation of
cathodic catalysts for fuel batteries
Keywords: heterogenisation, chiralization, catodic
catalyst
a) Heterogenized metal complexes on mesoporous supports
afforded catalytic systems that could be reused
for a large number of runs, with negligible loss of the
catalytic activity, while no leaching have been detected.
b) To develop chiral solids for asymmetric synthesis
requiring of basic, or oxidation, or hydrogenation, or
cyclopropanation catalysts. To prepare these materials
we will carry out the chiralization of the solid by including
an organic chiral auxiliary. Inmobilization of this
chiral inductor close to the catalytic site will be accomplished
by grafting, formation of covalent bonds between
the solid network and the inductor. c)
Development of new materials with high ionic and electronic
conductivities. Heterogenization of metalloporphyrins.
