7. Deposición por co-sputtering
magnetrón de compuestos ternarios
basados en TiN
Palabras clave: recubrimientos protectores, rugosidad,
sputtering.
7. Sputtering magnetron deposition of
ternary compounds based in TiN
Keywords: protective coatings, roughness, sputtering
We are growing ternary compounds TiN ( Al, Si, Cr) to
obtain materials combining the high TiN hardness and
the good corrosion and waste properties corresponding
to the AlN coatings. The deposition technique employed
is reactive co-sputtering magnetron. From a fundamental
point of view we are interesting in the composition,
the chemical bonding, the structural characterisation
and the surface morphology of our coatings in
order to relate this properties to the tribological behaviour
of these ternary compounds. From a practical
point of view we want to obtain hard coatings to be
directly utilised as protective coatings in industrial
applications.
8. Determinación de la Superficie de
Fermi de Superconductores mediante
fotoemisión resuelta en ángulo
empleando la radiación sincrotrón
Palabras clave: superconductor; superficie de Fermi;
temperatura [2-3].
8. Fermi Surface Determination of
Superconductors using Synchrotron
Radiation Angle Resolved photoemission
Keywords: superconductor; Fermi surface,
photoemission
During the last years at LURE, our group has developed
an alternative method to the traditional angle- resolved
photoemission (ARUPS), which allows to determine
directly contours of the Fermi Surface of any ordered
metallic material. This technique basically consists in
scanning automatically large portions of the reciprocal
space at fixed photoelectron energy. In this way we can
record two-dimensional images of photoelectron intensity
as a function of the wave vector parallel to the surface
[1]. By synchrotron radiation ARUPS, we have performed
a complete k-space mapping of the Fermi
Surface of a Bi 2 Sr 2 CaCu 2 O 8+d (Bi2212) high Tc superconductor
at the optimum doping hole density (Tc = 91 K).
We have measured the Fermi surface of the Bi2212 in
the even and odd symmetry by angle scanning photoemission
using a high intensity synchrotron radiation.
We have used this approach to discriminate the matrix
element effects due to polarization of the beam. The
results provide a clear identification to the key features
related with quasiparticle excitations in the high Tc
superconductors[2, 3]
