Al entrar a las oficinas de la
empresa Cambiaso,
pareciera que nos
remontáramos a la época de
oro en Valparaíso pleno
siglo XIX, donde el puerto
era la capital comercial de
Chile. Cruzando el umbral
de su entrada, podremos
apreciar elementos de
antaño que impresionan por
el cuidado de su
conservación.

Tcuando desde Génova, Italia llega a
Valparaíso, Antonio Cambiaso en
compañía de su tío Juan Bautista, quienes
buscan en Chile un mejor futuro
económico tras la debacle financiera que
atraviesa su país de origen.
Al poco andar, descubren sus habilidades
comerciales en la distribución e
importación de productos, motivo por el
cual deciden fundar una empresa. Juan
Bautista emprende el retorno a Italia y su
sobrino inaugura la compañía “Antonio
Cambiaso e hijos”.

t all began in 1875, when Antonio
ICambiaso with his uncle Juan Bautista
came from Genoa, Italy to Valparaiso in

business skills in the distribution and
import of products, which is why they
decided to start a company. Juan Bautista
undertook a return to Italy and his
nephew opened the company "Antonio
Cambiaso and Children."
