Cada nuevoaño plantea el desafío de superar lo que seha logrado.Las Olimpíadas 2009 están en plena marcha.Se suman día a día los formularios en la páginaweb de la competencia. Los chicos de todoSan Luis se inscriben con entusiasmo por participar,seguros de que su esfuerzo en el estudioserá recompensado. Como en cada nuevaedición hay novedades. Se sumó la disciplina“Medio Ambiente”. En tiempos de cambioclimático, el cuidado del ambiente se vuelveun tema de suma importancia. En este marco,se pensó esta disciplina para que los chicosconozcan todo acerca del medio ambiente,El presentesus problemas y sus posibles soluciones. Seabordarán temáticas como el calentamientoglobal, la eficiencia energética y la forestación,entre otros.Otra novedad es que los interesados sólopodrán elegir una disciplina para participar.Además, se modificaron los nombres de lasdisciplinas Literaria y Literatura por “Escritura”y “Lectura”. Pero la noticia más destacablepara el 2009 es que el viaje de los chicos delsecundario cambiará de destino. Los jóvenesque obtengan los primeros lugares viajarána Italia y podrán conocer las universidadesdonde estudio y enseñó Galileo Galilei. Estenuevo destino se pensó debido a que la ULPadhiere al Año Internacional de la Astronomía,que se celebra en todo el mundo.Capítulo 4Chapter 4The PresentMany of the dream that lay the foundations of theOlympiads have already become true, and very successfully,but the tasks goes on. Kids from all over San Luis register withenthusiasm to participate, certain of the fact that theirefforts in study will be rewarded. As in every year’sedition we have innovations. A new discipline hasbeen added: Environment. In times of climate change,care for the environment is a significant issue. In thisframework, we consider this discipline for kids to knoweverything about the environment; its problems andpossible solutions. Issues such as global warming,energy efficiency, afforestation, and other will be dealtwith.Another innovation is that students will only be ableto participate in one school subject. Besides, the namesof the subjects “Literary” and “Literature” became“Writing” and “Reading”. But the most outstandingnews for 2009 is that the trip that teenagers in secondaryschool win has a different destination. Thewinners will be awarded with a trip to Italy where theywill visit the universities where Galileo Galilei studiedand taught.
