Olimpíadas: su trayectoria y su crecimientoEn la actualidad, cuando los niños y los jóvenesse sientan frente al teclado para realizar suinscripción, en cualquier rincón de San Luis,comienza para ellos la historia de las “OlimpíadasSanluiseñas del Conocimiento”.Pero las páginas de las Olimpíadas comenzarona escribirse en el 2006, a partir de unainiciativa de Alicia Bañuelos, rectora de laUniversidad de La Punta (ULP). En aquelmomento, desde la Secretaría de Extensióncomenzó a diseñarse una propuesta paracristalizar el sueño de una competencia deconocimientos, que favoreciera la inclusióndigital y que, al mismo tiempo, premiara elesfuerzo intelectual de los chicos, más allá delámbito escolar.Estaba todo para armarse. Todo era nuevo.Había pocas certezas respecto del camino aseguir. Y así se emprendió la marcha. AlejandroMunizaga, secretario de Ciencia y Técnica-quien por entonces tenía la responsabilidadde la Secretaría de Extensión- trazó los primeroslineamientos junto con Ana Sáez, laprimera encargada del proyecto.Durante la gestación de las Olimpíadas sedieron cambios importantes. En primer lugar,asumió Fernando Salino como secretario deExtensión, y luego, Paulino Gómez Miranda seincorporó a la iniciativa.Con esos cambios estructurales prosiguió eltrabajo. There were only a few certaintiesabout what path to follow, but we set out anyway.Alejandro Munizaga, now Secretary of the Scienceand Technology Department and of the Secretary ofExtension at the time, drew the first guidelines, togetherwith Ana Sáez, the first project director.During the stage of creation of the Olympiads, importantchanges were made. In the first place, FernandoSalino was appointed Secretary of Extension, andthen Paulino Gómez Miranda joined this initiative.With these structural changes, the project went on.There was then the challenge of designing the logisticsfor an unprecedented project, since the disciplineswere almost fully defined, and the coordinators hadOlimpíadas | 39
