What the trip now needed to be absolutely amazingwas to defy gravity and laws of physics. And so it happened. As part of the Program ATXTM (Astronaut TrainingExperience) kids experienced the true demandsof astronauts’ training. One by one, kids were fastenedwith harnesses of considerable weight and with elasticropes, to simulate the conditions of zero gravity. Underthese conditions, students experience a simulation ofwhat is like to walk on the Moon surface. Our students also participated of orientation sessionswhich helped to get ready to live the space adventurein person. Astronaut Robert Springer, who had nineyears of training before his first mission, told the kidsabout the daily details of a space mission.Besides the adventures at the Space Center, our kidsalso enjoyed tours around Orlando, where they visitedPlanet Hollywood, the famous restaurant livened upwith images of prominent films and stars of Americanmovies. They also experienced the magic of the differentpark in Disney World.
