La ley de tribunales paraniños, promulgada en 1918, recoge lanecesidad de contar con Casas de Observaciónatendidas por personal técnicoespecializado en psicología experimentaldel menor. Los padres terciarios capuchinosse hicieron cargo, en pugna conla Institución Libre de Enseñanza, de loscentros de menores.En este primer artículo se aborda históricamentela relación de los religiososcon la psicología, sus condicionantespolíticos e ideológicos y su modelocriminológico.Palabras Clave: Evaluación psicológica,tribunales para niños, menores delincuentes,historia de la psicología.ABSTRACTAt the beginning of the 20 th centuryJuvenile Courts were set up in Spain. TheJuvenile Courts Law, promulgated in1918, states the need of setting upObservation Homes run by specialisedstaff trained in juvenile experimentalpsychology.
