El Centro de Arte Tecla Sala inicia el año con una exposición
que nos propone vincular los sentidos de la vista y el olfato a través
del arte. La muestra “Eléctrico y lejano” presenta una selección
de fotografías de algunos de los más reconocidos artistas
nacionales e internacionales de la colección olorVISUAL, elegidas
por el perfumista Ernesto Ventós, que ha creado las esencias
que acompañan algunas de estas obras a partir de la sensación
olfativa que le suscitan, como por ejemplo una de la Tecla Sala
que nos traslada a su pasado fabril y a la actual realidad cultural.
Una experiencia singular para disfrutar del arte y al mismo
tiempo de las sensaciones olfativas.
Esta exposición es, además, una nueva oportunidad para disfrutar
del Centro Cultural Metropolitano Tecla Sala, un equipamiento emblemático
de la ciudad y referente cultural tanto por la sala de arte que
acoge esta nueva muestra como por la Biblioteca Central, la Fundación
Arranz- Bravo y el TPK-Taller Pubilla Cases, que conviven en este conjunto
artístico.

The Centre d’Art Tecla Sala is starting the new year with an exhibition
that aims to link the senses of sight and smell through
art. Electric and Distant presents a selection of photographs by
renowned national and international artists from the olorVISUAL
collection, gathered by the perfumer Ernesto Ventós, who has
created the scents that accompany some of these works according
to the olfactory effect they suggested to him. One of these
is the scent of Tecla Sala, which takes us from its manufacturing
past to its current cultural present. The show offers a unique
experience of art works and olfactory sensations all at once.
In addition, Electric and Distant provides an opportunity to enjoy the
Centre Cultural Metropolità Tecla Sala, an iconic venue in the City of
L’Hospitalet and a cultural reference that not only includes the exhibition
hall that houses the new show, but also the Biblioteca Central, the
Fundació Arranz-Bravo and the TPK-Taller Pubilla Casas, which share
this cultural space.
The City Council is committed to attracting talent and promoting culture,
two of our strategic focuses for the present and for times to come.
A cultured city attracts talent, and talent attracts activity, which in turn
draws in more talent, fostering wealth that is then redistributed. This
