Per lo sgabello Free è stato impiegato un
tessuto nel quale le fibre di Teflon® creano
una vera e propria barriera protettiva
contro le sollecitazioni fisiche, impedendo
inoltre la penetrazione di liquidi e sporcizia.
In alternativa è disponibile una versione
rivestita in uno speciale tessuto
poliuretanico, estremamente resistente
all'attrito, alle macchie, ai liquidi ed ai raggi
solari. La seduta è realizzata con un
processo impiegato per la produzione di
borse e particolari protettivi per calzature
sportive: la termoformatura per shock
termico (1). Essa consiste nel sagomare un
foglio di imbottitura preriscaldato, con uno
stampo a bassa temperatura (2).
Quest'ultimo, oltre a imporre la sua forma
al foglio, lo trancia e ne rifila i bordi con la
massima precisione. La cerniera utilizzata
per fissare l'imbottitura alla struttura
metallica dello sgabello, rappresenta a sua
volta un visibile richiamo al mondo dello
sportswear e dell'abbigliamento tecnico.
A Teflon®-coated fabric has been used for
the Free stool, where the fibres create a
real protective barrier against physical
stress, preventing the passage of liquids
and dirt. Alternatively, a model upholstered
in a special polyurethane fabric is
available, which is extremely resistant to
attrition, stains, liquids and sunrays. The
chair is made using a process employed to
produce bags and protective details for
sports footwear: thermo-moulding with
thermal shock (1). This involves shaping a
sheet of pre-heated padding, with a mould
at a low temperature (2). Besides imposing
its shape on the sheet, the mould cuts it
and trims the edges with maximum
precision. The hinge used to fasten the
padding to the metal frame of the stool
also recalls the sportswear and technical
clothing sector in appearance.
Für den Hocker Free wurde ein Stoff
verwendet, bei dem die Teflon®-Fasern
eine wahrhafte Schutzbarriere gegen
physische Belastungen bilden und
außerdem das Eindringen von Flüssigkeiten
und Schmutz vermeiden. Als Alternative
steht eine Version mit speziellem
Polyurethanbezug zur Auswahl, der extrem
beständig gegen Abrieb, Flecken,
Flüssigkeiten und Sonnenstrahlen ist. Der
Stuhl wird mit dem gleichen, wie für
Taschen und besondere
Schutzvorrichtungen von Sportschuhen
eingesetztem Verfahren hergestellt: die
thermische Formung durch
Temperaturschock (1). Dieses Verfahren
besteht darin, die zuvor erhitzte Polsterung
mit einer Form bei niedrigen Temperaturen
zu formen (2). Die Form prägt die
Polsterung nicht nur, sondern sie stanzt sie
auch aus und bearbeitet die Kanten mit
höchster Präzision. Das zur Befestigung der
Polsterung an der Metallstruktur des
Hockers verwendete Scharnier erinnert
wiederum stark an die Welt der
Sportbekleidung und technischen Textilien.
En el tejido empleado en el taburete Free,
las fibras de Teflon® crean una auténtica
barrera protectora contra los estímulos
físicos que al mismo tiempo impide la
penetración de la suciedad y de
sustancias líquidas. También hay
disponible una versión revestida en un
tejido poliuretánico especial,
extremadamente resistente al roce, a las
manchas, a los líquidos y a los rayos
solares. El asiento está realizado con un
proceso empleado en la fabricación de
bolsos y detalles protectores para calzado
de deporte (1): el termomoldeo por choque
térmico, técnica que consiste en dar forma
a una lámina de relleno precalentada con
un molde a baja temperatura (2). Este
último, además de imponer su forma a la
lámina, se ocupa de cortar y alisar los
cantos con la máxima precisión. La
bisagra utilizada para fijar el relleno a la
estructura metálica de la silla o del
taburete evoca visiblemente el mundo de
la ropa deportiva y del vestuario técnico.

utilisé un tissu où les fibres de Teflon®
créent une véritable barrière de
protection contre les sollicitations
physiques, empêchant de plus la
pénétration de liquides et de saletés. À
disposition également une version
revêtue dans un tissu spécial en
polyuréthane, extrêmement résistant au
frottement, aux taches, aux liquides et
aux rayons solaires. L’assise est réalisée
en utilisant un processus employé dans le
secteur de la production de sacs et de
protections sur les chaussures sportives:
le thermoformage par choc thermique (1).
Ce processus consiste à modeler une
feuille de garniture pré-chauffée à l’aide
d’un moule à basse température (2). Ce
dernier, donne sa forme à la feuille, la
coupe et ébarbe les bords avec une très
haute précision. La charnière utilisée pour
fixer la garniture à la structure métallique
du tabouret représente à son tour un
rappel visible au monde de l’habillement
sportif et technique.
