Tables of scheduled maintenance and checksThe periodic checks and maintenance operations that arerequired to keep your motorcycle safe and in perfect runningorder are shown in the following tables.WARNING: Many of these services and maintenancetasks require specialized knowledge, tools and experience.General mechanical aptitude and tools maynot be sufficient to properly service and maintainyour motorcycle. If you have any doubts, please takeyour motorcycle to an authorized service center.NOTE: Any damage to your motorcycle which is the resultof improperly performed maintenance is not covered bythe warranty.Most motorcycle maintenance operations must be performedwhile the bike is on the rear stand, the engine is off , and thestart switch is set to OFF. This does not apply to the checkingof fluid levels.Use only lubricants and fluids listed in this manual (see § 6.3).If your motorcycle is damaged by the use of improper lubricants,fluids, or other such products, this damage is not coveredunder the warranty.- 112 -
