MAINTENANCE 6Lubrication - Apply a film of lubricant over thewhole of the drive chain, taking care not to smearthe surrounding parts, and in particular the tires.Direct the lubricant jet on the internal links, inorder to lubricate the surface of the O-Rings andpenetrate inside the chain roller.CAUTIONOnly use the lubricant specified in section6.3. of this manual, in order to protectthe drive chain and avoid oil spurtswhen the vehicle is in motion.EN6WARNINGChain lubrication must be performedaccording to the intervals specified inthe tables of scheduled maintenance(see § 6.1.). It is also necessary to performthis operation after riding in therain and after washing the motorcycle.Never ride your motorcycle when thedrive chain is in poor condition orimproperly adjusted.- 144 -
