MAINTENANCE 6EN6WARNINGNever use your motorcycle if the fluidlevel is below the MIN mark. The brakesmay fail to properly operate, resulting inan accident, personal injury or death. Ifthe brake fluid level is below the MINmark, the braking system must be overhauledby an authorized MV Agustadealer.WARNINGBrake fluid replenishing must be performedonly by skilled personnel. Brakefluid is highly toxic. Avoid ingestion andcontact with your skin or eyes. Keepbrake fluid out of reach of children anddomestic animals. In the event of abrake fluid ingestion, immediately call adoctor and do not cause vomiting, inorder to avoid inhalation of brake fluidin lungs. If the brake fluid comes intouch with your skin or eyes, immediatelywash with water.WARNINGUse only the brake fluid specified atparagraph 6.3. of this manual. Mixing differentbrake fluids can cause a dangerouschemical reaction, as well as thedecrease of the braking efficiency. Thiscould increase the risk of accidents, withsubsequent serious injury or even death.WARNINGAn insufficient amount of brake fluid mayallow the introduction of air into thebraking system. This could compromisethe effectiveness of the braking system,resulting in an accident, personal injuryor death. Presence of air in the brakingsystem can be identified in the momentyou feel a characteristic “spongy effect”while pushing the brake lever. In thiscase, have a braking system bleedingperformed by an authorized MV Agustadealer before riding your motorcycleagain.- 134 -
