MAINTENANCE 6Prolonged inactivityIf the motorcycle is to remain unused for a longtime (a month or longer), it is advisable to disconnectthe battery cables or have the batteryremoved by an authorized MV Agusta dealer. Incase of prolonged inactivity, to avoid shorteningthe life of the battery, it is essential to have itrecharged by your MV Agusta dealer everymonth.WARNING: The inversion of the batterywires can damage the battery and therecharging system, causing an electricshock that can lead to serious injuries oreven death. The red wire must be connectedto the positive terminal (+), while theblack wires must be connected to the negativeterminal (-). When removing the battery,disconnect the negative terminal FIRST andthen the positive terminal. When reinstallingthe battery, use the reverse procedure.EN6- 162 -
