Thisis a huge field in which our company focuses on autologous celltherapy (that is to say treatment using tissue or cells taken from yourown body and then used to treat you).58RegenLab fabrique également son propre matériel qui permet d’isoler,par des procédés extrêmement simples, les cellules que l’on prélève surun patient avant de les réutiliser sur lui-même pour le traitement d’uneplaie ou pour une thérapie anti-âge.Outre la complémentarité des activités de recherche et de fabrication,la vente du matériel fabriqué permet de financer notre recherche. This avoids us having to seekexternal funding and safeguards ourindependence.Who are your clients?The client-user must be a doctor forapplications on the skin, or a surgeon forother more technical treatments (orthopaedic, cardio-vascular or plasticsurgery). RegenLab has clients all over Europe and in Asia. We arecurrently in the process of registering our technologies with the Americanauthorities. RegenLab a desclients partout en Europe et en Asie. Nous sommes en train d’enregistrernos technologies auprès des autorités américaines. Les Etats-Unis sontune nouvelle étape importante pour nous.Quelles sont vos perspectives pour l’avenir ?La médecine régénérative est en très forte croissance car nous découvronschaque jour de nouvelles applications possibles avec les propres cellulesdu patient. Avec la création de notre nouveau laboratoire à Lausanne,notre effectif est passé de 15 personnes à 20-25 personnes.Une échéance importante pour nous a été la tenue de la conférence surla médecine régénérative Biobridge-event le 26 octobre 2009 au Palaisdes Nations à Genève sous l’égide des Nations Unies.Votre philosophie ?Notre volonté est de créer une société avec un fort potentiel de développement,tout en mettant sur le marché une nouvelle approche médicalequi permettra de traiter un grand nombre de patients.What is the outlook for the future?Regenerative medicine is an area that is growing rapidly as every daywe discover new possible applications for the patient’s own cells.
