14ADJUSTMENTS AND SEA TRIALSChecking adjustments un<strong>de</strong>r sail- check the adjustments in mo<strong>de</strong>rate or light winds on calmseas. It is preferable if you can avoid having to <strong>de</strong>al withmanoeuvres by taking aboard some experienced crewmen;- check the alignment of the mast upwind looking along thesail track (lateral alignment) which should be straight onboth tacks;- the leeward cap shrouds should not be completely slack.If this is the case on both si<strong>de</strong>s, take in (once moored ashore) the samenumber of turns on each si<strong>de</strong> of the mast.
