e 23 octobre 2022, à Sölden, Diego Orecchioni a pris son
premier départ en Coupe du Monde. Comme Steven
Amiez avant lui, en attendant le tour de Guerlain Favre
et de Louis Tuaire, les jeunes Courchevelois frappent à
la porte du haut niveau.
Cette saison encore, le Club des Sports de Courchevel demeure
un vivier important pour les équipes nationales. Outre Alexis
Pinturaut, ils sont dix (5 garçons et 5 filles) à porter le bleu
en ski alpin, dont Marie Lamure, la récente championne du
monde junior du combiné. Un bon début de saison permettrait
à l’un de ces « gamins » d’accrocher une qualification pour les
championnats du monde à « la maison ». Même si, pour eux,
les objectifs de très haut niveau sont un peu plus lointains.
En saut à ski, Valentin Foubert et Mathis Contamine
poursuivent leur apprentissage. En revanche, trop affaibli par
une blessure aux genoux, Jonathan Learoyd est contraint de
mettre un terme à sa carrière, après 14 départs en Coupe
du monde et une participation aux Jeux olympiques (2018).
Après un superbe été en Alpen Cup (4 victoires), Lilou Zepchi
(16 ans) continue de grandir dans l’ombre de Julia Clair et de
Joséphine Pagnier, sans griller les étapes.
On 23 rd October 2022, Diego Orecchioni made his World Cup debut
in Sölden, following in Steven Amiez’s footsteps and leading the way
for Guerlain Favre and Louis Tuaire. Courchevel’s young skiers are
gradually climbing up the ladder to the top level.
Courchevel Club des Sports is an important breeding ground for the
French teams. In addition to Alexis Pinturault, ten of the club’s Alpine
skiers (5 boys and 5 girls) are currently representing their country,
including Marie Lamure, the recent Junior Combined World Champion.
A strong start to the season could enable one of these “youngsters”
to qualify for the World Championships “at home”. Nevertheless, the
elite objectives are still some way off for them.
In the ski jumping, Valentin Foubert and Mathis Contamine are
continuing their training. Unfortunately, Jonathan Learoyd’s knee
injury forced him to bring his career to an end, after 14 World Cup
appearances and one at the Winter Olympics (2018). After a superb
summer in the Alpen Cup (4 wins), 16-year-old Lilou Zepchi is hot on
the heels of Julia Clair and Joséphine Pagnier.
