MANAGEMENT DISCUSSION
AND ANALYSIS
DISKUSI ANALISA MANAJEMEN
TINJAUAN UMUM
Berdasarkan data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), Produk
Domestik Bruto (PDB) nasional tahun 2012 tumbuh
sebesar 6,23% dibandingkan dengan tahun 2011.
Capaian pertumbuhan tersebut patut diapresiasi karena
dicapai pada saat perekonomian global hanya tumbuh
3,2%. Meskipun angka tersebut turun dibandingkan
sepanjang 2011 sebesar 6,5 %, namun pertumbuhan
terjadi di semua sektor ekonomi dengan pertumbuhan
tertinggi di sektor pengangkutan dan komunikasi
sebesar 9,98 % dan terendah di sektor pertambangan
dan penggalian 1,49 %. Sementara PDB tanpa migas
tahun 2012 sebesar 6.81%. Penurunan pada kuartal
IV-2012 ini disebabkan sektor pertanian mengalami
penurunan cukup signifikan sebesar 23,06 % karena
siklus musiman.
PDB per kapita atas dasar harga berlaku pada tahun
2012 mencapai Rp 33,3 juta (US$3.562,6), meningkat
dibandingkan PDB per kapita pada tahun 2011 yang
hanya mencapai Rp 30,4 juta (US$3.498,2). Peningkatan
PDB per kapita mendorong penguatan daya beli
masyarakat. Dengan demikian penjualan barang dan
jasa yang ditawarkan kepada masyarakat berpotensi
meningkat pula.
9.125 Rp/USD, kemudian pada kwartal I tahun 2012
sempat menguat, namun secara perlahan melemah
dengan hingga pada akhir tahun 2012 ditutup dengan
9.670 Rp/USD. Meskipun berpengaruh terhadap harga
barang yang diimpor, namun secara umum depresiasi
yang tipis ini tidak terlalu mengganggu pertumbuhan
PDB tahun 2012.
OVERVIEW
According to Statistics Indonesia (BPS) data, the National
Growth Domestic Product (GDP) in 2012 grew by 6.23%
compared to year 2011. Such an achievement in growth
should be appreciated as it was achieved while global
economic growth was only around 3.2%. Even though
the 2012 figure was lower than that foryear 2011 (6.5%),
growth was occurring in all sectors of the economy, with
the highest in the transportation and communication
sectors, up 9.98%, and the lowest in the mining and
quarrying sector–just 1.49%. Meanwhile, non-oil GDP
in year 2012 was as high as 6.81%. The decline in the
fourth quarter of year 2012 was due to the agricultural
sector experiencing a significant decline (calculated at
23.06%) the result of seasonal cycles.
Percapita GDP indexed to current prices reached 33.3
Million IDR (US$3,562.60) in 2012, an increase over the
30.4 Million IDR (US$3,498.20) figure for year 2011. This
directly boosts the purchasing power of the people;
thus, the sales of goods and the services to society
could potentially increase as well.
The inflation rate in 2012 was modest, at 4.30%, slightly
higher than the 3.79% figure for 2011. Even so, this rate is
relatively low compared to the government’s projection,
which reached 5.3%, so it can be stated that the inflation
rate for year 2012 was still under control, as it did not
cause overheating in the national economy.
Referring to data from Bank Indonesia, the central
exchange rate against the US Dollar at the beginning of
the year was as high as 9,125 Rp/USD; then,in the first
quarter of 2012 it strengthened, gradually weakening
until the end of 2012, when the rate closed at 9,670 Rp/
USD. While this affected the cost of imported goods,
in general the slight depreciation did not depress GDP
growth in 2012.
