INTAN STRATEGIC PLAN > 2011 - 2015
preface | Director General of
Public Service Malaysia
In line with the implementation of the Government’s agenda such as the
1Malaysia People First Performance Now, the Government Transformation Plan, the
New Economic Model and the Tenth Malaysia Plan, the priority given by the Public
Service Department is towards the development of its human capital.
As a leading public service training institution, the role of the National Institute of
Public Administration (INTAN) is critical not only to develop knowledgeable and
high-performance workers but also to enable them to perform their task with
professionalism, integrity and subsequently to fulfill the expectations of the people
in the delivery of services. It is thus, important that INTAN provides long term strategic
planning to ensure it can continue to take on that role effectively.
Hence, the INTAN Strategic Plan (2011-2015) is formulated to give direction towards
becoming a premier public sector learning institution in addition to driving the
institution to provide quality learning for the public sector to develop its human
capital.
I hope that all the goals and strategic thrusts outlined in this blueprint will be
implemented and provide a significant impact to both the Public Service Department
and INTAN in ensuring the success of the national transformation agenda. It is also
hoped that the implementation of this document will strengthen the position of
INTAN as the premier learning institution in facing an increasingly challenging global
environment.
