Abstract
The technology of telecommunications is a constantly developing technology.
As the number of users increases and their demands grow, old systems have to be
upgraded and new progressive ideas must be put into practice. High altitude
platforms (HAPs) are an ambitious attempt in this direction, a technology that when
fully implemented will be capable of providing advanced services to a variety of
users.
However, in order to ensure efficient operation and coexistence with present
systems, it is necessary to conduct an interference analysis. Beyond the theoretical
approach, simulation procedures are very valuable in cases like this, because they
can lead us to important conclusions about the nature of the problem and its possible
solutions.
