and of interactions in productive cycles between humans
and robots. The foundry is an ideal territory for
this great change. Robots allow to satisfy clients’ demands
better, they ensure precision and optimization in
controls, greater security in production, scrap reduction
and environmental consciousness, more reliable
end products and greater productivity. Men and machines
manage new quality levels together, with competitive
costs and in real time, with new opportunities
of interaction between the different sectors and a better
sharing of knowledge within the process.
Smart Foundry for a Smart Industry
Based upon these elements, Metef 2017 and Brescia’s industrial
association, AIB, launched the project called “Fonderie Italia
a Metef 2017”, an ambitious initiative to favour communication
and improve international awareness of the Italian foundry industry.
This initiative envisages a preferential pathway for cast
foundries wishing to take part in meted, in close partnership
with the industry associations, Amafond, Assofond and Assomet,
as well as numerous technical and communication activities;
among them, the creation of a Smart Factory for a Smart
Industry-style production cell within the fair grounds stands

è quindi sviluppo dell’industria fusoria, non solo per una
questione quantitativa, ma principalmente per le nuove interconnessioni
necessarie tra chi produce e chi utilizza. Si
trattadiun’evoluzione-rivoluzioneepocale,perchéoggil’industria
dell’auto non cerca semplici fornitori della filiera, ma
partner strategici. D’altra parte, la straordinaria complessità
nellenuoveapplicazioniautomotivedigettistrutturalisempre
più alleggeriti non può prescindere da quei processi di
digitalizzazione produttiva che identificano l’industria 4.0,
con utilizzo crescente di robot e delle interazioni nei cicli
produttivitraumanierobot.
