issue we shall summarize the main themes focused upon
which concern the world’s foundry industry, such as, the
dominant role of the automotive industry as main user of
foundry casts, the importance of the decrease in weight
which drives the development of aluminium alloys and at
any rate of innovative materials, techniques and processes.
The Industry 4.0 objective is increasingly present, and so is
the role of digital transformation for the competitiveness
A firmly-rooted belief shared by participants to the Forum
is that the automotive industry, now and for many
years to come, will be a key reference point for foundries,
both as a driver of technological and qualitative
evolution and as an end market: over half the casts pro-
dell’industria manifatturiera mondiale. Obiettivo principale
del Foundry Forum è incrementare le opportunità di commercializzazione
processi e prodotti, in uno scenario di mercato globale.
Questo obiettivo è stato ottimamente raggiunto dall’evento,
che ha offerto le opinioni e il confronto con i big del settore.
