Water Electrohydraulics<br />
for Green Applications<br />
Water electrohydraulics is a fluid motion technology that is spreading in several sectors: from<br />
steel industry to light alloy die casting and oil & gas applications.<br />
Atos has developed a whole range of stainless steel valves capable of fulfilling the most severe<br />
critical issues linked with the use of water.<br />
Water electrohydraulics is a fluid motion<br />
technology based on uninflammable,<br />
eco-compatible and non toxic fluids as 100%<br />
pure tap water or specific HFC and HFA oil-in<br />
water emulsions with minimum 80% water.<br />
Atos has developed a broad range of stainless<br />
steel valves with ISO 4401 subplate mounting<br />
for compact system design and an easier<br />
assembling and maintenance.<br />

InMotion<br />

High resistance<br />
in aggressive environments<br />
Atos stainless electrohydraulics perform high<br />
resistance in aggressive environments (>1,000<br />
hours in neutral salt spray) and fully comply<br />
with the most severe water fluid critical issues<br />
such as: quick oxidization of the hydraulic<br />
system; higher leakages rates due to the low<br />
water viscosity demanding more accurate<br />
coupling tolerances; higher fluid’s speed<br />
requiring special rugged and reinforced design<br />
to withstand the greater flow forces and the<br />
lower water lubrication properties.<br />
Typical “water” hydraulic applications are<br />
steel industry, light alloy die castings, Oil&Gas<br />
applications according to API norms (American<br />
Petroleum Institute), petrolchemical and food<br />
industry. Moreover, thanks to its non-magnetic<br />
properties, stainless steel can also be applied to<br />
specific military applications in the submarine<br />
and minesweeper sectors.<br />
New stainless steel electrohydraulics is thus<br />
speeding up the diffusion of “water” hydraulics in<br />
