Solo sei mesi di tempo per il
ritorno dell’investimento
Per quanto riguarda l’elevatore bracci a rullini, che consente
il caricamento delle mattonelle nei piani dei cestoni, la movimentazione
era gestita da un encoder a 100 impulsi/giro
che non garantiva sufficiente precisione di posizionamento.
L’asse è stato modificato radicalmente sostituendolo con
un motore brushless con resolver, dotato di freno, ed è stato
inserito un riduttore a vite senza fine con un rapporto elevato
tale da restituire un’adeguata irreversibilità del sistema
consentendo dei fermi in coppia più sicuri e agevoli.
“Non ci sono state modifiche significative nella struttura
della macchina”, precisa Verì, “perché ci siamo affidati alla
nostra vasta gamma di prodotti. Globalmente, abbiamo riscontrato
un netto miglioramento in termini di funzionalità,
un adeguato cost-saving dal punto di vista degli spazi e una
serie di vantaggi in termini di service e di commissioning.
Infatti, le scelte tecnologiche adottate per la progettazione
dell’automazione della macchina permettono di accedere
da remoto a tutti i parametri degli azionamenti, semplificando
e velocizzando gli interventi di manutenzione”.
L’incremento produttivo calcolato è stato del 16% che, rapportato
al caso reale del formato di mattonelle 120 x 60,
consente di produrre 40.000 m 2 in più di pavimentazione
in soli 50 giorni produttivi/anno. Considerando un margine
non profit netto di circa 2 euro/m 2 , a un prezzo medio di
vendita di 20 euro/m 2 , il margine di guadagno tocca gli
80.000 euro, con un ritorno dell’investimento (calcolato in
40.000 euro circa) in soli sei mesi. l

This forced the maintenance team to update
periodically the height of the 54 buffer layers.
We replaced the asynchronous motor with
an asynchronous vectorial motor, whose
dynamics could be compared to brushless
motors. Then, we closed the loop on the drive
and introduced an absolute linear optical
encoder, which allowed us to detect accurately
the height of the lifter.
Using an absolute optical encoder to close the
positioning loop balances automatically any
possible change of the chains, and it always
ensures the possibility to reach the right
position of the loading bed”.
The return on investment is
achieved in only six months
As for the third intervention area, which allows
for loading the tiles into the machine layers,
the motion was managed by a 100 ppr encoder
that did not fulfil a precise positioning. The axis
was then significantly changed by replacing it
with a resolver brushless motor, also equipped
with a brake. Then, a worm gearbox with a high
ratio was inserted, so to ensure the system
irreversibility.
“The machine structure did not change
significantly”, points out Mr Verì, “as we could
rely on our broad product range. We observed
a global remarkable improvement in terms of
operation, a relevant cost-saving as for space
and several advantages in terms of service and
commissioning. In fact, the technology adopted
to design the machine automation enables
remote access to all the drive parameters, thus
making maintenance interventions simpler and
faster”.
A throughput increase by 16% implies the
possibility to produce 40,000 square meters
of additional tiles (120 x 60 format) in only 50
production days per year. With a net non-profit
margin of about 2 euro per square meter and
an average sales price of 20 euro per square
meter, the profit margin reaches 80,000 euro,
with the ROI (about 40,000 euro) achieved
