Gallo Nero. “This year we have reached Florence<br />
after a difficult season,” Sergio Zingarelli declared,<br />
President of the Consorzio Vino Chianti Classico,<br />
“ which, however, we have been able to manage<br />
with the best weapons the modern wine-maker can<br />
count on nowadays: a deep understanding of the<br />
territory and the ability of waiting for the right<br />
time. Therefore, if on the one hand we’ve had to<br />
acknowledge a significant drop in quantity in the<br />
2017 production, the press and the workers who<br />
took part in our event were very supportive about<br />
the quality of this last harvest, right from the very<br />
first preview tastings from the barrels.<br />
“As usual”, continues Zingarelli, “the Collection<br />
exposes and puts these last years’ work up for the<br />
critics’ judgement, not just for this last harvest”.<br />
The operators were also able to learn about the new<br />
Gallo Nero vintages ready to conquer markets all<br />
over the world, which has been happening for some<br />
time now. Precisely in the last three years, 110 million<br />
bottles of Chianti Classico have been sold.<br />

Classico - che però siamo riusciti a gestire con le<br />
migliori armi su cui oggi può contare il viticoltore<br />
moderno: la conoscenza profonda del proprio territorio<br />
e la capacità di saper aspettare il momento<br />
giusto. Così, se da un lato abbiamo dovuto registrare<br />
un significativo calo quantitativo nella produzione<br />
2017, la stampa e gli operatori che hanno partecipato<br />
a questo nostro evento ci hanno confortati<br />
della qualità dell’ultima vendemmia, proprio dalle<br />
primissime anteprime da botte. Come sempre - continua<br />
Zingarelli - la Collection mette in mostra e al<br />
vaglio della critica il nostro lavoro degli ultimi anni,<br />
non solo della vendemmia appena passata”. Gli<br />
operatori hanno infatti potuto conoscere anche le<br />
nuove annate del Gallo Nero pronte a conquistare i<br />
mercati di tutto il mondo, come succede oramai da<br />
molto tempo. Giusto nell’ultimo triennio sono stati<br />
venduti 110 milioni di bottiglie di Chianti Classico.<br />
