B 5. Resources, funding, facilities
OGC is funded from three different sources:
• The University, through the Faculty of Arts (University funding, or fi rst fl ow)
• The Dutch National Research Council NWO, European Union (Governmental and public funding,
or second fl ow)
• All other sources, including business and non-profi t organizations (Non-governmental funding, or
third fl ow)
The OGC budget comprises only funding for temporary projects; the research time of tenured faculty is not
included in the OGC budget. 11
