nymphs agree with Brinck's description (Brinck 1949). The colour<br />
aries to some extent from dark to paler brown. The stout bristles<br />
on the femura are always distinct. The bristles on the cerci are<br />
usually as long as, and in most cases longer than the joints<br />
(fig. 10A). This is always the case in the anterior part of the<br />
cerci; in the posterior part, some nymphs have joints longer than<br />
the bristle. This constitute the best characteristic for distinguishing<br />
rl~~zphinemura borealis from the near-related A. sulcicollis<br />
in which the cerci are about half the length of the joint (fig.<br />
10B). The bristle characters were easily seen in the nymphs ready<br />
for emergence. The adults agree closely with Brinck's description.<br />
The length of the female 6-7 mm, the male 4-5 mm.
