No quadro da iniciativa AQUANATUR (Unicer, SA), o projeto refere-se
à intervenção de reabilitação do património arquitetónico
de uma unidade hoteleira de referência do estilo neoromântico
projetada no início do sèc. XX, na perspetiva de elevação á
categoria cinco estrelas. Entre os principais desafios desta empreitada
destacam-se, por um lado, a necessidade de integração
de processos e de cooperação entre os diversos intervenientes
e, por outro a significativa complexidade técnica da obra que incluiu
o Hotel e também uma nova ala SPA ao estilo modernista
projetada por Siza Vieira).
De relevar o excecional trabalho global de carpintaria (oficina,
aplicação e restauro, vigas estruturais em peças decorativas).
Na perspetiva sustentabilidade são de relevar as preocupações na
certificação energética dos edifícios e ainda a opção pela implementação
de cobertura verde de alto desempenho no novo SPA.
Under the AQUANATUR initiative (Unicer, SA), the project deals
with the works of renovation of the architectural patrimony
of a reference hotel projected in neo-romantic style at the
beginning of 20th century, with the perspective of upgrading
it to the category of five stars. The main challenges of this
project are on one hand, the necessity of integration of diverse
processes and cooperation between all those intervening and,
on the other hand, the significant technical complexity of the
works that also include the Hotel and a new modern style SPA
projected by Siza Vieira. We want to distinguish the impressive
global carpentry work (workshop, application and restoration,
use of structural beams in decorative parts).
In terms of sustainability, we highlight the concerns in the
energetic certification of the buildings and the option for the
implementation of high performance green roofs in the new SPA.
