ABSTRACTCurrently the families seeking a safe area of education in which the child to feel welland can develop the best possible way, while parents work. This space does notnecessarily have to be the School of Education Child, the child can be repaired andaccompanied by a nanny or even stay at home with his mother, grandmother, aunt,among others. Thus, this search aimed to ascertain the views of parents in relationto different areas of education for the development of infants from zero to threeyears. Tried know what they think about the issue, noting as representing theschool of early childhood education at the moment. For this, sought a theoreticalreferential that allowed the reader a greater understanding on the issues ofchildhood, of playing and the School of Education Child. The study of cunho qualitywas developed from semi-structured interviews with ten mothers of children whoattend or not attend the School of Education Child in a city in the Rio dos SinosValley in Rio Grande do Sul. From the interviews, was can collect information toperform an <strong>ana</strong>lysis subsidized in the studies developed, allowing a greaterunderstanding on the matter. With this study concludes that the choice of the areaof early childhood education for this group of mothers is given in accordance withvarious issues, among them: the need for work, financial issues of family and therecognition of the school like a place of learning. You can also consider that theimposition of early childhood education is represented by parents, in this particularcontext, as a place of socialization, care and specially recognized as an educationalarea, which shows a resignification in the way to realize this environment, as beforehad only a supporting character. It was used as reference in the research authorssuch as Aries, Lapierre, Betelheim Winnicott, among others.Keywords: Child, Different spaces, childhood
