crescer”. Segundo Temer, a fábrica serve como
referência, pois mostra o potencial de crescimento
do país. “Isto pode ser um exemplo para
o Brasil, porque agora o que mais precisamos é
gerar empregos”.
INOVAR PARA CRESCER
A celulose fluff da Klabin abre ao mercado nacional
a possibilidade de substituir a importação
dessa matéria-prima. Esse tipo de celulose é um
importante insumo para a produção de fraldas e
absorventes descartáveis, entre outros produtos.
As operações da nova fábrica foram iniciadas
em março deste ano. Em abril, foi realizado o
primeiro embarque de 20 mil t de celulose de
fibra curta com destino à China, saindo do Porto
de Paranaguá. Para exportar a produção da
unidade, a Klabin estruturou uma Unidade de
Logística em Paranaguá, que permite a utilização
dos modais ferroviário e rodoviário. A empresa
espera movimentar 1 milhão de toneladas de celulose
por ano - mais de 90% da produção total
da fábrica está vendida.
De acordo com Schvartsman, a Klabin estuda
investir na compra de uma nova máquina de papel
cartão. “Em algum momento isso acontecerá,
mas com o atual momento da economia brasileira
e mundial não temos previsão de quando
construir a máquina”, explicou.

these are the type of investments, combined with the
work force, which will make Brazil grow. “When I speak
of private enterprise, I speak on combining those who
employ with those who are employed. It is the combination
of these two forces that make the Country grow.
According to Interim President Temer, the factory serves
as a reference, because it demonstrates the growth potential
of the Country. “This can be an example for Brazil,
because now, what we most need is to generate more
jobs.”
INNOVATION FOR GROWTH
Klabin’s fluff pulp opens up the domestic market to
the possibility of replacing the import of this raw material.
This type of pulp is an important raw material for the
production of disposable diapers and sanitary napkins,
amongst other products.
The new plant operations were initiated in March
this year. In April, the first shipment of 20 thousand mt
of short-fiber pulp was bound for China, leaving from
the Port of Paranaguá. To export unit production, Klabin
has built up a Logistics Unit in Paranagua, which allows
for the use of rail and road transportation. The Company
hopes to ship 1 million tons of short-fiber pulp per year
- more than 90% of total factory production is already
sold.
According to Klabin Director Schvartsman, Klabin is
studying investing in the purchase of a new paperboard
