O
resultado das eleições gerais definiu novos
caminhos para o Brasil. Com o novo governo,
a retomada da economia promete
recuperar o bom momento vivido pelo país
antes da crise de 2014. Por isso, mais do
que nunca a relevância do associativismo ganha destaque.
Na matéria que ilustra a capa desta edição a Abimci
(Associação Brasileira da Indústria de Madeira Processada
Mecanicamente) mostra os resultados de todas as
ações que tomou para garantir a representatividade do
setor junto a diversas esferas do governo e a competitividade
das empresas. Já na entrevista especial desta
edição falamos com o professor Alexandre Antônio de
Oliveira, que explicou as vantagens e a importância de
uma gestão ambiental consciente nas fábricas de móveis
nacionais. Também contamos a história da prefeitura de
São João do Oeste (SC), que tem apostado no reflorestamento
de eucaliptos para a utilização do material em
obras da cidade, como a reforma de pontes, além de
promover a comercialização das mudas para os produtores

he result of the general election defined
new paths for Brazil. With the new Government,
the economic recovery promises to
renew the good times lived by the Country
before the 2014 crisis. That is why more than
ever the relevance of a business association receives
note. In the article that illustrates the cover of this issue,
Brazilian Association of the industry of Mechanically Processed
Timber Industry (Abimci) outlines the results of all
the actions taken to ensure the representativeness of the
Sector within the various Government spheres and the
competitiveness of the members. In this issue’s exclusive
interview, we sat down with Professor Alexandre Antônio
de Oliveira, who explained the advantages and the
importance of environmentally conscious management
in Brazilian furniture making. Also, we have a story about
the history of the city of São João do Oeste, Santa Catarina,
which has bet on the reforestation of eucalyptus
for the use of the material in municipal works, such as
the bridge renovation, in addition to promoting the sale
of seedlings to rural producers in the region. Pleasant
