REZUMAT – TEZA DE DOCTORAT � Conduita terapeutică adoptată cel mai frecvent a fost ablaţia totală (76,74%), acest tip de intervenţie reducând foarte mult riscul recidivelor. Ablaţia subtotală s-a practicat într-un procent de 2,93 % din cazuri şi a fost preferată ca atitudine terapeutică atunci când meningiomul era localizat în regiuni dificil de abordat. � Rezultatele postoperatorii au fost bune, în procent de 60,47 % din pacienţi externându-se vindecaţi şi 23,26% amelioraţi din punct de vedere al stării de conştienţă şi al deficitului neurologic. � Cele mai frecvente complicaţii postoperatorii întâlnite au fost: edemul cerebral, hematomul în patul tumoral şi meningita. � Abordurile chirurgicale variază în funcţie de localizarea şi mărimea tumorii. � Cantitatea de ţesut tumoral rezidual după operaţie este un factor determinant pentru rata recidivei.
