Azov Basin Branch is one of
the fourteen branches of the
Federal State Unitary Enterprise
Rosmorport. In the area of responsibility
of the branch, formed
in June 2011, are the seaports of
Rostov region, having the status of
international: Azov, Rostov-on-Don
and Taganrog.
The main activity of the Azov
Basin Branch is the implementation
of tasks in the field of ensuring
the safety of navigation and
the effective use of federal property
in the seaports of Azov, Rostov-on-Don
and Taganrog, as well
as on the approaches to them.
To achieve the goals, the Azov
Basin Branch owns under the right
of economic control 112 stationary
real estate objects of various functional
purposes (hydraulic structures,
buildings and premises, objects
of the navigation safety systems,
etc.) and 25 fleet units, of
which there are 6 icebreakers, 4
tugs, 1 pilot vessel, 1 environmental
protection vessel, 8 vessels of
technical and dredging fleet, 2 office-traveling
vessels, 2 hydrographic
vessels and 1 pontoon.
During the years of the branch’s
activity in seaports, projects have
been implemented aimed at ensuring
a high level of navigation safety
in the Azov Sea basin.
In 2012, at the onshore navigation
support equipment consisting
of 2 range and 4 port navigation
signs modern LED navigation
lights were installed with a
monitoring system.
In the same year, the Traffic
Control System of the Taganrog
Bay and the coastal station Taganrog
of the sea regions A1 and A2
