Attention to itching, stitch, watery
and burning
In summer months when weather
gets heavily hot, frequently appearing
allergic reactions shows remarkably
increase alongside flying
pollen and dusts. Highlighting eyes
were the organ in which allergies
would be seen the most frequently,
Assistant Associate Prof. Dr. Melike
Gedar said; “Regarding direct touch
with environment, eyes are the
organs in which allergic reactions
are seen most frequently. If some
symptoms such as itch, stitch, being
watery, burning, sensible against
light and visual defect, the reason
of those for allergy is quite high.
Among other negative effects which
happen in summer months are
runny nose, sneeze, nasal congestion
and itch are allergic disease
that happens in summer months. If
these symptoms show themselves
more often, it requires taking necessary
measures through a detail
eye exercise.”
Use of contact lens increases risk
Stating sunrays were the important
factor in allergy formation,
Assistant Associate Prof. Dr.
Gedar continued, “One of the most
important factors for a disease
might happen in eyes is sunrays.
In order to be protected from
diseases such as conductivity
with regard to ultraviolet rays, we
advise use of ultraviolet protected
sunglass. In addition use of lens
takes place among the factors to
increase formation of allergic risk
as well. In summertime, besides
flying pollen and dusts, swimming
with lens at sea and pools can
trigger allergic relation formation.
The pollen and microbes
that stick on lens might cause
many serious problems ranging
from allergy to inflammation. For
this reason, instead of lens using
glasses in summertime is one of
the precautions in order to reduce
these risks to minimum.”
itself excessive watery, ache, itch,
have these symptoms urgently
should get a detail eye examination
