Details. At the time mentioned the traffic separation scheme “At Hatter Barn” (IMO Circ. -<br />

Colreg.2/Circ.60) will be amended as follows: The traffic separation scheme will consist of<br />

a traffic lane of 675 metres wide at the narrowest part, for north-eastbound traffic, and a<br />

traffic lane of 800 metres wide, for south-westbound traffic separated by a separation line.<br />

Description of the amended traffic separation scheme is as follows:<br />

(a) To the NW limited by a separation line between position 1) - 2).<br />

(b) A traffic separation line between position 3) - 4).<br />

(c) To the SE limited by a separation zone by a line connecting position 5) - 12).<br />

(d) The traffic lane for SW bound traffic is between the separation line (a) and the<br />

traffic separation line (b).<br />

(e) The traffic lane for NE bound traffic is between the traffic separation line (b) and<br />

the traffic separation zone (c).<br />

The existing inshore traffic zone will be discontinued.<br />

Note. The minimum depth at mean sea level is 15 m in the traffic separation scheme. Ships<br />

with a draught of more than 13 m should use the deep-water route which lies NW of the<br />

traffic separation scheme.<br />

The new boundaries were shown in block accompanying <strong>EfS</strong> 17/365 <strong>2009</strong>.<br />
