Das WEF zog seine Kreise<br />
Am 23. Januar schreckte ein grosser Kreis am Himmel die Zürcher auf und der Boulevard füllte sich mit Dutzenden<br />
Bildern selbsternannter Leserreporter. Die Luftwaffe musste Stellung beziehen – es waren Kampfjets<br />
auf Mission.<br />
Da sich die Luftwaffe über der Nordwestschweiz nur noch<br />
selten zeigt, gehen die Erinnerungen an deren Aufgaben<br />
und Mittel in der Bevölkerung verloren. In Zeitung, Radio<br />
und Fernsehen wird tagelang über Flugzeug- und Hubschrauberabstürze<br />
diskutiert. Was sich aber täglich über unseren Köpfen<br />
abspielt, wird von links bis rechts zumeist ignoriert. Ausser – ja,<br />
ausser man sieht wieder einmal einen Kampfjet über Zürich. Dann<br />
ist die Hölle los …<br />
Nun – um dem Mainstream wieder einmal Paroli zu bieten, schauen<br />
(hören) wir uns doch einfach einen Abfangeinsatz aus der Nähe<br />
an. Dazu der Funkverkehr zwischen BATMAN (militärische Flugkontrolle,<br />
Bodenstation) und den Piloten in ihren F/A-18 C/D Hornet<br />
(FALCON) hoch über dem Gotthard auf ihrer CAP (Combat<br />
Air Patrol).<br />
