he organizers of the festival, the Town
Piešťany, the Town Library Piešťany, and
the Slovak Radio, have reason to be truly
satisfied with this year’s event. The elaborate
dramaturgy of the display, which was rich in
interesting accompanying events, stressed the
significance of joining the literary texts with
the different contexts of artistic and creative
educational activities. The visitors of the
festival could attend the exhibitions of the
illustrators Peter Čisárik, Zuzana Matlovičová,
and Martin Groch.
The opening day of the festival set the tone
for a pleasant and balanced event. The
theatre performance Jukebox (Hracia skrinka),
performed by the students from the
Department of Puppetry (Faculty of Theatre at
the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in
Bratislava), was a reprise of their successful
presentation of Slovak literature at the festival
in Bologna, where Slovakia hosted this year.
The writer Ján Uličiansky understood the child’s soul best, winning
three awards for his fairy-tales.
insgesamt drei Auszeichnungen erhielt.
Appreciation, in the form of the Slovak Radio
Prize, was given to the prominent Slovak
actress and theatre educationalist Zuzana
Krónerová. Both the professional and the
children’s jury evaluated the competitive
stories in a surprisingly similar way. In the
category of the monological fairy-tales, the
professional jury awarded a prize to the
stories of Pom-Pom. These are radio
adaptations made according to the book by
István Csukás bearing the same name, which
was published with a translation by Kveta
Slobodníková. They were dramaturgically
prepared by Beata Panáková, directed by
Peter Palik, and interpreted by Ľuboš Kostelný.
In this category, the children’s jury awarded a
prize to the good-night fairy-tale
Analphabeth Illiterate (Analfabeta
Negramotná), the first fairy-tale set in a
library, from Ján Uličiansky, edited by Beata
Panáková, and interpreted by Zuzana
Krónerová.
In the category of radio plays, both juries
concurred in awarding a prize to the play
“Four Goblins and a Fairy” (Štyria škriatkovia
a víla) based on the book of the same name
by Ján Uličiansky, with dramaturgical
production by Zuzana Grečnárová, and
directed by Táňa Tadlánková.
All three award-winning radio adaptations
meet the current interests of children listeners
by being attractively adapted literary models.
They are motivating for children because they
are not flat and they also give children food
for thought and imagination.
The Magic Nut surely did not disappoint
the children. And it pleased the adults too. z
Die Veranstalter des Festivals – die Stadt
Piešťany, die Stadtbibliothek Piešťany
und der Slowakische Rundfunk -
können mit einem guten Gefühl auf die
diesjährige Veranstaltung zurück blicken. Die
durchdachte Dramaturgie dieser an
interessanten Begleitveranstaltungen reichen
Vorführung hob die Wichtigkeit einer
Verbindung des literarischen Textes mit
verschiedenen Kontexten künstlerischer und
kreativer pädagogischer Aktivitäten hervor.
Die Festival-Besucher konnten an den
Vernissagen der Illustratoren Peter Čisárik,
Zuzana Matlovičová und Martin Groch
teilnehmen.
Gute-Nacht-Geschichte – „Analfabeta
Negramotná“ (Das erste Märchen aus der
Bibliothek) des Autoren Ján Uličiansky
prämiert, in der Dramaturgie von Beata
Panáková und vorgetragen von Zuzana
Krónerová.
In der Kategorie der Hörspiele entschieden
sich beide Jurys übereinstimmend für den
Titel „Štyria škriatkovia a víla“ (Vier Elfen und
eine Fee). Das Hörspiel zum gleichnamigen
Buch von Ján Uličiansky wurde in der
Dramaturgie von Zuzana Grečnárová und
unter der Regie von Táňa Tadlánková
aufgenommen.
Alle drei prämierten Hörfunkspiele
kommen mit ihren attraktiv verfassten
literarischen Vorlagen dem kindlichen Zuhörer
entgegen.
In the world of fairy-tales, one can easily become a king.
