Revue Piestany Jesen 2010 - Piešťany

Kedysi významná medzinárodná výstava Socha piešťanských parkov sa
v posledných rokoch napriek úsiliu organizátorov - a v rozpore so svojím
názvom - čoraz viac sťahuje do interiérov galérie Fontána. V tejto situácii
prišla ako manna z neba ponuka hlavného riaditeľa bratislavskej výstavy
Socha a Objekt, Viktora Hulíka, ktorý prejavil záujem časť umeleckých
artefaktov, nazhromaždených k výstave, prezentovať aj v malebnom
prostredí Kúpeľného ostrova v Piešťanoch.
The once significant international exhibition - the Sculpture of Piešťany
Parks – has, in spite of organizers’ endeavours and in contradiction to its
name, been moving into the interiors of the Gallery Fontána in the recent
years. At just the right time, as manna from the heaven, an offer was
made by Viktor Hulík, the executive manager of the Bratislava exhibition
“Sculpture and Object”. He expressed his interest in presenting a part of
the artistic works, which were to be used in the exhibition in Bratislava,
in the picturesque surroundings of the Spa Island in Piešťany.
Die einst so bedeutende internationale Ausstellung „Socha piešťanských
parkov“ (Skulptur der städtischen Parks von Piešťany) wich in den letzten
Jahren trotz aller Bemühungen ihrer Organisatoren - und in Widerspruch
zu ihren Namen - zunehmend in die Ausstellungsräume der Galerie
„Fontána“. In dieser Situation kam das Angebot von Viktor Hulík aus
Bratislava dem sagenhaften Himmelsbrot Manna gleich. Als Hauptdirektor
der dortigen Ausstellung „Socha a Objekt“ (Skulptur und Objekt) zeigte er
Interesse, einen Teil der hierfür zusammen getragenen Kunstwerke auch in
der malerischen Umgebung der Kurinsel in Piešťany zu präsentieren.

časť veľkorozmerných diel rozmiestnená na
Kúpeľnom ostrove, ktorý je pre takéto
plenérové výstavy priam predurčený.“ Viktor
Hulík plánuje obnoviť tradíciu výstav sôch
a objektov na Kúpeľnom ostrove v Piešťanoch.
Veríme, že sa mu jeho zámer podarí
uskutočniť. ❚

he project “Sculpture and Object” has
grown to enormous proportions in its
15th year. Traditionally, on the last
Thursday of 6th June exhibitions in galleries
and one in the public premises of the town
were open to the public. On the following
day, Piešťany´s exposition was opened,
offering large-size works from 18 artists from
Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria,
Hungary, Croatia and the USA.
On opening day, Viktor Hulík expressed his
thanks to the Slovak Health Spa Piešťany, the
town of Piešťany, and to other institutions
participating in the organization of the
exhibition for their support and cooperation.
He recalled the times when Piešťany used to
inspire him with its cultural atmosphere:
”Even as a student at the College of Fine Art
in Bratislava in the 60s, I remember the big,
world-renown names of artists presenting at
the “Sculpture of Piešťany Parks”. As an
active artist, I had the honour of taking part in
