Als Miniatur im prächtigen Rahmen hebt sich ein kobaltblauer<br />
Kolibri auf einer exotischen Pflanze vom weißen Boden der Schale ab.<br />
Kostbare Brokatmalerei in 23-karätigem Gold umrandet das<br />
historische asiatische Motiv aus den Anfängen der Manufaktur. Wie<br />
eingraviert überziehen zarte, transparente Blütenranken den mattgoldenen<br />
Grund. Tradition trifft hier Moderne und East meets West.<br />
Die Brokatmalerei ist eine in <strong>MEISSEN</strong> ® völlig neu entwickelte<br />
Glasurtechnik, die 2013 für ein Limitiertes Kunstwerk entwickelt<br />
wurde, die asiatisch inspirierte Vase „Fo-Hunde“. Erstmals wird<br />
Glasur zum Malen verwendet. Sie zaubert die feinen Glanzeffekte in<br />
die matte Vergoldung. Der dunkle Rahmen der kobaltblauen Bordüre<br />
betont die ganze Pracht des aufwendigen Dekors. Im grafischen<br />
Zusammenspiel mit dem Vogelmotiv verleiht es der Schale zugleich<br />
eine gewisse Modernität und Raffinesse im ostasiatischen Stil.<br />
A cobalt-blue hummingbird on an exotic plant stands proud against<br />
the dish’s white well, a splendidly-framed miniature.<br />
Exquisite brocade painting in 23-karat gold encloses a vintage oriental<br />
motif from the manufactory’s very beginnings. Delicate transparent<br />
floral scrolls run over the matt-gold ground as if engraved. This is a case<br />
of tradition meeting modernity, of East meeting West. The brocade<br />
decoration is a glaze technique wholly invented by <strong>MEISSEN</strong> ® that<br />
was developed in 2013 for a Limited Edition Art Work, the orientally<br />
inspired “Lions of Fo” vase. This is the first time painting has been<br />
performed with glaze, a medium that injects subtle patches of gloss into<br />
the matt gilding. The dark frame of the cobalt-blue border brings out<br />
the full glory of the sumptuous decoration. At the same time, the stylistic<br />
interplay of border and bird motif lends the dish a certain modernity<br />
and oriental refinement.<br />
