Die 30-jährige Marta lebt noch bei ihrer Mutter.
Der Film erzählt die Geschichte ihres Befreiungsversuches,
um dem giftigen Einfluss ihrer
Mutter zu entfliehen. Doch den dunklen Seiten
und der Missgunst der wohlhabenden polnischen
Mittelschicht kann man nur schwer entkommen,
selbst wenn man schon erwachsen ist.
Marta is a thirty-year-old doctor who lives with
her mother. The film is the story of her attempts to
free herself from her mother’s toxic influence. The
secrets and resentments concealed by Poland’s
wealthy middle-class are difficult to break free
from even when you are already an adult.
Julia Kolberger was born in 1978;
she studied English, film studies
and applied linguistics in Tours and
Paris; she graduated in directing

Ein Mann und sein Sohn nähern sich im
Morgengrauen einem Haus mit geschlossenen
Läden. In jedem Raum sind die Spuren einer erst
kürzlich verstorbenen Person zu spüren, die Reste
eines ganzen Lebens. Beweise eines Lebens,
das nun zu Ende ist. Vater und Sohn räumen auf
und waschen sie weg.
A man and his son are leaving at dawn for a
house with closed shutters. In each room one
can sense the traces of a person recently deceased,
the remains of a whole life. Evidence of a
life now terminated that the father and his son
will have to tidy up, wash and move.
Pauline Goasmat aged 32 graduated
from Cergy National School
of Arts with honours; she produced
her first short film in 2005 and then
got to know Utopie Films, which produced her
three next short films; 2007 “To The Right Hand
of God”, 2009 “Reflux”

In einer total gewöhnlichen warmen Sommernacht
treffen sich die total gewöhnlichen
Bewohner eines Mehrfamilienhauses im Hof. Ein
Bürger mit zweifelhaften Absichten nutzt die
Gelegenheit.
One totally ordinary warm summer night
the residents of a totally ordinary apartment
house happen to gather in the yard. A citizen
of questionable motives takes advantage of
the situation and the ending is of course quite
expectable.
Kristjan Holm born 1976 in Tallinn,
Estonia; he graduated from the
Estonian Academy of Arts in 1999 as
an interior designer; an unexpected
discovery that film frames also have four walls
gave him the final impulse to dedicate his life to
investigating the ties between frames and walls;

1984 in Diyarbakır: Eine kurdische Frau möchte
ihren Mann im Gefängnis besuchen und ihm etwas
mitbringen. Doch das ist genauso verboten
wie Kurdisch zu sprechen: Nur Türkisch ist ihnen
erlaubt.
1984. A Kurdish woman living in Diyarbakır
would like to see her husband in prison and give
some things to him. It is forbidden to carry all
the stuff there and talking Kurdish is not allowed
there either. They may only speak Turkish.
L. Rezan Yesilbas born 1977 graduated
from the Cinema-TV Department
of Marmara University in
2008; his film “Hüküm - Judgement”
won the Marmara University Second Degree
Graduate Project prize; it was the first film in his
“Trilogy of Women”; “Silent” is the second film in
the trilogy
