Alex und Cerise lieben sich. Als sie eines
Nachmittags in einem Straßencafé sitzen, wird
Alex vor Cerises Augen tätlich angegriffen. Aus
Angst reagiert er nicht. Auch wenn Cerise den
Zwischenfall als Kleinigkeit betrachtet, fühlt sich
Alex schwer gedemütigt.
Alex and Cerise love each other tenderly. One
afternoon, Alex is assaulted in front of Cerise
while they are having a drink at an outdoor
table. Fear stops him from reacting. Even though
this incident remains trivial in Cerise’s mind, it
makes Alex feel really humiliated.
Guillaume Gouix born 1983 is a
young rising French actor seen in a
lot of arthouse movies since 2003;
“Alexis Ivanovitch You’re My Hero”
is his first film as director

Drei Kinder sind zuhause, während die Eltern am
Wochenende weggefahren sind. Die 11-jährige
Lauren betet ihren älteren Bruder Wout an.
Wout lebt sein eigenes Leben, von dem Lauren
keine Ahnung hat. Sie fühlt sich ausgeschlossen
und entschließt sich zu einem Schritt, für den sie
eigentlich noch nicht bereit ist.
When their parents leave for the weekend, three
children stay home alone in the big villa. Elevenyear-old
Lauren adores her older brother Wout.
But Wout lives his own life. A life that Lauren
knows nothing about. She feels excluded and
decides to take a step she is not ready to take –
not yet.
Sacha Polak studied at the Dutch
Film and Television Academy and
the Amsterdam Academy for Art;

nicht, reklamiert er: Er bekommt keine Anrufe.
Doch das Telefon ist völlig in Ordnung: Er ist
derjenige, der nicht funktioniert.
The comic story of a man isolated by modern
technology. He takes his mobile phone back to
the shop – it’s not working, he’s not receiving
any calls. But the phone is fine; it is he who is not
working. But he still wants answers.
Chris Connatty is from London;
“Connected” is his first film as
writer-director; he has written for
radio and TV; prior to writing he
worked for 10 years as a camera assistant on
such films as “Bend It Like Beckham”, “Code 46”
and “Millions”

Nach dem Tod seiner geliebten Frau schließt sich
Avner in seiner Wohnung ein. Er hat beschlossen,
sich gegen die Trauerrituale zu wehren. Sein
Enkel, der über den Balkon einsteigt, findet sich
in Opas ganz eigener Trauerzeremonie wieder.
After the death of his beloved wife, Avner locks
the door of his apartment. He has decided to
rebel against the usual ways of mourning. His
grandson breaks into the apartment and finds
himself drawn into his grandfather’s own private
ceremony.
Ari Gaitelband lives and works
in Caesarea; he recently graduated
from the Film Department at
the Midrasha School of Art, Beit
Berl College; his short student films have been
screened at film festivals in Israel; “After Death”
is his graduation film
